Auto/Boat Speedshow

Every year at the fairgrounds the Auto/Boat Speedshow comes to town. This year we went with our friends Scott, Shane, Nanci and her daughter Karli. It was fun to walk around and see all the vehicles. Juju and Tanner got a picture taken with Diego, although Juju was reluctant because "Diego is for babies". Please. We had a great time and look forward to next year.

Happy Birthday Matt!

Matt turned 15 this year! I feel SO OLD being the step-mom to a teenager. Crazy! We had a great time. To kick off the festivities we had some friends over and celebrated Matt's birthday with them. We then of course had the traditional family party on his "real" birthday. I feel terrible that I didn't get more pictures, but my camera pooped out for some reason. We had a great time celebrating Matt's special day. He really has adjusted nicely to living in our home and we're glad he's a part of our family. :) Hope you had a great day buddy! Just think...next year you'll be able to drive....maybe....if the grades are good. :)

Dancing With Cinderella

A dream is a wish your heart makes
When you're fast asleep
In dreams you lose your heartaches
Whatever you wish for, you keep
Have faith in your dreams and someday
Your rainbow will come smiling thru
No matter how your heart is grieving
If you keep on believing
the dream that you wish will come true

Julia had the opportunity to make one of her dreams come true and go to a "ball" with her Prince Charming. Her school hosted a Daddy/Daughter dance with the theme 'Dancing With Cinderella'. It was so adorable to watch how excited she was to put on a Cinderella dress and have her hair done all fancy. We even ordered a corsage and boutonniere to complete the ensemble. She had a wonderful time with her Daddy. They danced the night away and had so much fun. She truly felt like a princess for a night!

Happy Birthday Miss Julia!

On March 10th we celebrated Julia's 6th birthday. How the time flies! I can't believe she is 6...although there are days it feels like she's a teenager with her sassy attitude and mouth. :) Julia got to have her first "friends" birthday party. She invited some girls from school and church and they had a great time!

Julia also had the traditional family birthday party. She was spoiled rotten!!

What a nut...she chose to do this to herself.

Oh Julia, there are days that I am honored to be your mother and other days I wonder how I am ever going to get through it. :) You are one of the most amazing children I've ever known. So smart and witty (which is what gets you into trouble most of the time). I guess what counts it that you're such a polite young lady when in the presence of other people, now if you can just let us know how to get you to act like that at home...we'll be set! At least you know when to be on your best behavior. :) There are so many things I love about you Miss JuJu. I love how expressive you are, and your ability to make anyone laugh. I love watching you when you're in your own little world, dancing and singing to yourself. You are so good to your younger siblings (most of the time) and are such a great help to me. You are always so willing to help out when I ask and when you want something really bad you even take the initiative to do things without being told. :) I love you JuJu Grace! Happy Birthday!!
